About Me

I’m a big city girl at heart, but I became a little mountain momma when our family moved cross country to start a new life in Colorado.  Currently, I live near the Rocky Mountains with my husband Jeremy, our two little loves, Mackenzie and Levi, our hyper black lab puppy Boston and a menagerie of bunnies!
My heart for this blog started shortly after our move while I was walking a long road through postpartum depression.  Healing began when I began to put pen to paper and share openly about my struggles. And so became Little Mountain Momma.

I once read somewhere that Satan’s greatest tactic for discouragement in this life is to make us feel isolated and alone.  And my goodness, isn’t that the truth!?

I realized that the key to breaking free from this lie is to unabashedly speak truth over my life and over the lives of the women around me.

I’m not sure where you are on your journey.  I don’t know if you are a newlywed or if you are rocking out the single life.  Maybe you are walking that incredibly tough road of infertility or perhaps you are waiting on those adoption papers to go through so that you can hold that sweet baby you’ve been dreaming of. You could be the momma I know all too well — the one anxiously waiting to celebrate that first six hour stretch of newborn sleep.  Maybe you are a new empty nester and are discovering your life beyond kids for the first time in 20+ years.  My own momma is smiling at this!

Wherever you are on your journey – my hope is that Little Mountain Momma will be a place of honesty and transparency.  I hope that on your great days you will be inspired and that on your hardest days you will be encouraged.  I am filled with so much joy when I am able to walk alongside other women, encourage them in their struggles and rejoice in their successes.
So please, stay a while!  Follow along as I share about the triumphs and trials of being a momma and a wife, and about life as an imperfect follower of Jesus Christ and His amazing grace.  Some days I’ll share the joyful and the funny . . . Some days, the serious and the sad.   Mostly, I’ll just share my heart!
